The calendar volunteers will be on vacation from 1/9-3/6.
Interested in being a host for Swing Left Greater Boston’s vote-by-mail letter-writing project in Georgia Senate run-off?
Join us for one of these three trainings to get started! We will cover everything you need to know – from creating your Mobilize event and recruiting volunteers to ordering/printing materials and supporting your volunteers. Even if you have hosted PA letter-writing or FL postcarding events, sign up so we can alert you to key new things you need to know.
We have already mailed out 470,000 absentee ballot requests to infrequently voting Democratic voters in Georgians but need your help to reach additional voters and also to help GOTV and provide information to those already signed up to vote absentee about how and where they can vote so their votes count.
Each training session will last about forty minutes (shorter for experienced hosts), followed by time for you to ask any questions you have.
Hosting a letter-writing is one of the most effective ways to organize other volunteers to flip the US Senate through the Georgia runoff elections. Your volunteers will send absentee ballot request forms to likely but infrequent Democratic voters, encouraging them to apply. Rigorous Swing Left Greater Boston studies show that vote-by-mail increases the votes cast by infrequent voters by 2-5%, even in high turnout elections.
Each training will cover similar material but will be tailored to a slightly different audience. We encourage you to attend the session most geared to you, if possible, but you are welcome to attend any of the three.
– Tuesday – first-time hosts
– Wednesday – first-time hosts
– Thursday – former Pennsylvania or Florida SLGB letter-writing hosts
If you can’t make one of these three sessions and are interested in hosting a GA letter-writing event, please email GA.VBM2021@gmail.com.
Thanks again for your interest.
